At our seaside home, we believe that true hospitality lies in simplicity, calm, and genuine care. Our aim is to offer more than just a place to stay — we create an environment where you can fully relax, feel safe, and be supported if you need it.
Your stay includes everything you need for a peaceful and comfortable experience: a cozy and well-equipped space, the calming presence of the sea just a few steps away, and the warm, quiet atmosphere of a home that respects your pace.
For those who wish to go deeper into rest and self-care, we offer a range of additional services upon request and at an extra cost. These include access to medical or nursing support, wellness therapies such as massage and physiotherapy, as well as holistic guidance in nutrition and emotional wellbeing. You can also choose from personalized activities like artistic sessions, nature walks, or local excursions — always tailored to your needs and interests.
Whether you seek stillness, healing, or simply a few peaceful days by the sea, we are here to support your experience with kindness and care.

At Care by the Sea, we believe that growing older, recovering from illness, or living with a neurological condition should not automatically lead to institutional care. Our model is built on a simple principle: people heal, recover and live better when they feel safe, respected and at home. Care by the Sea is not a nursing home, a hospital, or a conventional long-term care institution, but a small-scale, high-standard residential environment designed around quality of life, comfort and clinical oversight.
1. Home Before Institution
We intentionally maintain a very small guest capacity so that each resident receives individualized attention, continuity of care and a genuine sense of familiarity and emotional security. Every guest is treated as a person first and a patient second, with full respect for personal history, needs and dignity.
2. Safety Through Clinical Oversight
All care plans are developed under medical supervision and supported by structured clinical monitoring. Monitoring may include vital signs, mobility, nutrition and hydration status, medication follow-up, fall risk, respiratory observation, skin integrity, and swallowing and feeding safety.
3. Multidisciplinary Approach
Care is delivered through collaboration across disciplines, based on the specific needs of each guest. Depending on the case, the team may include a General Practitioner, Neurologist, Pulmonologist, Registered Nurses, Physiotherapist, Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Dietitian and caregivers, all contributing to one unified care plan focused on quality of life and functional independence.
4. Respect for Functional Independence
Preserving autonomy is a central objective of our care philosophy. Guests are encouraged to take part in daily activities according to their abilities, and support is provided only to the extent necessary to maintain safety, comfort and personal independence.
5. Safe Nutrition and Hydration
We regard nutrition as a therapeutic intervention and an essential part of overall care. Meal plans are adapted according to medical conditions, swallowing ability, nutritional status, personal preferences and cultural background.
6. Early Recognition of Clinical Deterioration
All staff are trained to identify early warning signs that require medical review. Special attention is given to respiratory symptoms, swallowing difficulties, dehydration, infection, falls, cognitive changes, skin breakdown and sudden functional decline, with prompt escalation procedures whenever needed.
7. Mobility and Rehabilitation
Physical activity is encouraged whenever medically appropriate, with the aim of maintaining or improving mobility and function. Rehabilitation is integrated into daily care in a realistic, safe and personalized way.
8. Psychological Well-Being
Care extends beyond clinical needs and includes emotional balance, routine and human connection. We support meaningful daily routines, social interaction and an environment that actively discourages isolation while strengthening a sense of purpose and participation.
9. Continuous Improvement
Protocols, training programs, documentation systems and care pathways are regularly reviewed and updated. For us, excellence is not a fixed destination but an ongoing process guided by best practices and emerging evidence.
10. Dignity, Privacy and Respect
Human dignity remains the central principle guiding all care decisions. We respect privacy, personal choice, cultural and religious identity, and each guest’s right to participate meaningfully in decisions affecting their life and care.
11. Family Partnership
Families are regarded as essential partners in care. We maintain open communication, transparency and regular updates so that relatives remain informed, reassured and actively involved in important decisions.
12. Structured Quality Documentation
Care by the Sea maintains structured documentation systems that support continuity of care, communication among professionals and safe clinical monitoring. Consistent documentation is a core element of reliability, coordination and quality assurance.
A place you can trust. A home by the sea. Care with dignity. Care with purpose.
